Today I got my work checked and now I can blog about my writing that I finished, also to everybody reading Merry Christmas :). Anyway I finished my writing slides for week 8 and now I'm blogging it, the hardest one was definitely the last (No spoilers) and the first was the easiest. If you've done it (Unless your in my class you probably haven't) tell me because I love to see it. Anyway heres my slides :)
A week ago I made a bird feeder for inquiry but I haven't been able to blog about it until now. To make it we got: A pine cone, Peanut butter, A string and wild bird seed. We also used a plate and knife. We used the knife to spread the peanut butter on the pine cone and then we rolled it in bird seed. Oh I forgot to say that the teachers put the string on the top of the pine cone.And here is a picture of me making it.
Today in health we did an activity about social skills were we had to read the activities and then reply to an imaginary person (Names are real though). If you have done his I would love to see how muh better it is than mine.
Today I made a finished a DLO about how to plant a tree. I tried really hard on the pictures and that it what I found hard the numbering was easy and I enjoyed looking at the final result of my pictures. Today I finished off my inquiry life cycle of a tree, I rushed a wee bit but that is fine. If you have done this tell me and link your blog I would love to see what you've done (And compare it). Anyway this is mine, also for me the most challenging part was the picture for the sapling.
Today I finished my activity on endangered animals and I picked Red panda. They are the little version of the panda and are even cuter. If you have done a information report like this please tell me I would love to read it! Anyway here is my information report.
So today is the last day to finish off our street tags for art, and to be honest I'm very proud of it even if its hard to see. Now since this took so long I found that my hand kept on trembling, messing up the lines which was the hardest part. Because the picture is hard to see I'll explain which letter is which: The C is made of white and you can see its bones, The O is right beside the C pushing on on it and is lit with a black flame, The L is a tree and you can see the roots and the little eggs up in the leaves, And finally The E which is made of metal and on its "Blueprints" you could see some tape holding it all together but the silver went over that, you can also see a part that fell off because it got to rusty along with some remaining rust. Anyway time for the thing that you came here for the picture and if you've done something like this before comment and link your blog I'd love to see!
Hello happy lockdown to everyone I hope you are having a good day because today in math I have been completing some more Algebra slide which I will show in a minute. Probably the HARDEST thing that I found was... How I had to make the square that you write in because if I didn't fix it then it would sink into the next box and then you wouldn't be able to see it. Anyway to the presentation have you been learning algebra like this if so comment and off we go.
Today we did algebra and the first two slides were kinda easy and then it was baby easy. I enjoyed this activity since it was kind of relaxing with my headache meaning I didn't have to do that much work. Anyway here are the slides. Hello and today we have been naming class objects in Maori and adding their colors which fun fact goes after the object and when it's translated into English it says it like blue pen instead of pen blue. If you've done naming objects in a different language have you done it like we have? and by that I mean you would say He (the object and the color) tēnei. But if you want to say these aka instead of this you would say He enei. (you might have to zoom in)
Well I don't think I have to explain what digital pixel art is but if you haven't seen me explain it it's when you answer math questions and then it pops up with some pixels eventually making a picture when you finish. I didn't really struggle on this one though so that is nice. Anyway this is the picture.
Today I have easily completed a brain teaser though I know it's tricks I have a full report and you guys and gals can correct me if you are up for the challenge. My favorite part was actually examining the last row then writing it out. This is what it looks like and this is the keys and all my working.

Today in math I'll give you three seconds to guess what I did... PIXEL ART! This one is kinda weird but its still O.K. If you don't know basically all my math posts are pixel art which is fine but it's getting repetitive anyway It was Times tables and the picture is a purple mountain. (find the cursor)
Today I finished off my shape poem for matariki for the most part it was easy the only rhyme you might not get is While and Trial. Any way please enjoy! And if you have done something like this what was it like?
In math guess what we did just by the title and what I post for math. You guessed it pixel math but instead of addition its actually multiplication which was a nice change up for the pixel art so tomorrow I think we have division tomorrow so listen up. But before I end it I shall show you the picture.
Today we had the student summit and it was really fun learning new things and teaching people about Codey rocky and learning myself. The funnest one was Scratch where we made a dot a actual dot just make a triangle. None of them were really that hard except when I was presenting and one of the iPad's wasn't working so that group had to split off. But I also did animaker which was mostly 3 minutes of playing around and 7 minutes of listening. However I do have a picture of me and Son (pronounced sern) playing around for a bit... (what do you think of my haircut ;p)
So we had another pixel art but instead of it being multiplication and division it was addition and subtraction. But I got one wrong and it was only because i read it wrong and the proper answer was 25. The final result was a sad face even though I got only one wrong. (Also best part was addition 100%)
In today's brain teaser I bet the 2 smartest people in the school because it hurt my brain the banana was 3 not 4 the coconut was easy since it counted four only 1. Everyone thought it was 15 or 16 but it 14 I will show you without it and then I'll add mine.
Today in math we did something that I didn't even know existed and how it worked was every question you get right it would reveal some of the squares and it was obvious from the first 3 questions. In the end it was really fun to do and like the ONLY HARD PART was the standards since I didn't understand what it meant. But besides that this is the final product.
